中老铁路通车四周年——

一路飞驰，一路繁花

carried out in-depth field reporting along the Laos–China
Railway, taken part in bilateral exchanges, experimented with multime-
dia storytelling, and brought truthful, balanced, and moving railway narratives
to readers in both countries. This cross-border media partnership not only
reflects the fruitful growth of Laos–China relations, but also promises to
blossom further in the years ahead.
The railway has woven itself into the fabric of daily life in
Laos. Since the opening of the China–Laos Railway, many Lao
couples have chosen the stations in Vientiane, Vang Vieng, and
Luang Prabang as backdrops for their wedding portraits.
Against the sleek modern platforms or inside the “Lancang”
bullet train, they join hands, framing moments of joy and
tenderness along the tracks that now connect their lives.

Viengxay noted that the China–Laos Railway has
become a hugely popular online attraction in
Laos, with many local creators regularly film-
ing and streaming content from its stations and
trains. “The railway is accelerating Laos’ eco-
nomic growth,” she added, “and fueling people’s
hopes for a better future.”
