Morin Khuur

(Horse-Head Fiddle)

马头琴
The Morin Khuur is a two-
stringed instrument featuring a
trapezoidal body and a neck carved
in the shape of a horse’s head.
It is highly regarded among the
Mongolian people and symbolizes
the historical, artistic, and cultural
heritage of the Mongols. The Morin
Khuur produces a sound reminiscent
of the human voice, characterized by
a soft and mellow tone that skillfully
conveys lyrical and gentle melodies.

Guzheng
