Nishang on the cloud: Celebrating intangible cultural heritage

云上霓裳，演绎非遗风华

Recently, the 2025 “China Huafu Week · Nishang on the Cloud” series of activities,
showcasing magnificent traditional attire, took place in Kunming, Yunnan Province.
The event featured a vibrant program, including Huafu (traditional Chinese attire)
parades, Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) workshops, and international student ex-
perience sessions, which drew approximately 400,000 young people from China and
abroad to immerse themselves in the harmonious blend of traditional Chinese culture
and modern technological innovation.
Kunming’s Guandu Ancient Town established 21 ICH experience stations, prom-
inently featuring skills such as tie-dyeing, Yi embroidery, and silver and pottery
craftsmanship. The exhibition area showcased Huafu from various ancient Chinese
dynasties, alongside ethnic minority costumes from Yunnan. Meanwhile, the hands-on
experience area presented unique ICH crafts like silver-inlaid black copperware and
cloisonné enamel. An interactive zone further fostered cultural connections through
activities including coffee tasting and Hani roasted tea.
The Huafu parades transformed Kunming’s Cuihu Park and Xishan Scenic Area
into magnificent natural stages. Young people from various ethnic groups, adorned
in exquisite traditional attire, presented a vibrant cultural spectacle. Amidst classical
gardens and picturesque lake-and-mountain scenery, the dynamic blend of traditional
charm and youthful vigor captivated both local and international visitors, who eagerly
paused to admire the unfolding beauty.

近日，2025 年“中国华服周·云上霓裳”系列活动在云南省昆明市举办。
华服巡演、非遗工坊、留学生体验活动等一系列精彩环节轮番登场，吸引了约
40 万中外青年沉浸式感受中华优秀传统文化与现代科技创新融合之美。

昆明官渡古镇设立了 21 个非物质文化遗产体验站点，集中展示扎染、彝绣、
银器陶器等技艺。展示区汇聚中国古代多个朝代华服及云南少数民族服饰，体
验区呈现乌铜走银、掐丝珐琅等非遗工艺，互动区则通过咖啡品鉴、哈尼烤茶
等活动搭建文化桥梁。

华服巡演以昆明翠湖公园、西山风景区为天然舞台，各族青年身着传统服饰，
在古典园林与湖山胜境间演绎流动的文化盛宴。传统韵味与青春活力的碰撞，
令中外游客驻足赞叹。
