Wenbi Village:

A story of reinvention

Wenbi Village, located in the northernmost
part of Haidong Town, Dali City, Dali Bai Au-
tonomous Prefecture, faces Erhai Lake and
overlooks Cangshan Mountain. Ten years
ago, it was remote and underdeveloped, with
fishing and farming being the primary sourc-
es of livelihood for most villagers. Ten years
later, a splendid rainbow road, nearly 3 kilo-
meters long, runs through the entire village.
Desert plants like cacti and frangipani thrive
along both sides of the road. Tourists are
continuous, and guesthouses, hotels, travel
photography studios, and restaurants have
sprung up like mushrooms after rain within
the village.

位于大理白族自治州大理市海东镇最北部的
文笔村，面朝洱海，远眺苍山。10 年前，这里偏
远落后，打鱼务农是大多数村民的生活来源。10
年后，一条近 3 公里长的绚丽彩虹路贯穿全村，
道路两旁仙人球、鸡蛋花等沙生植物蓬勃生长，
游客络绎不绝，村内的民宿酒店、旅拍店、餐饮
店也如雨后春笋般涌现。
