Recently in Colombo, the “Harbors Tonight” Yunnan-South &
Southeast Asia Youth Civilization Dialogue on Sri Lanka was held
under the guidance of the Information Office of the Yunnan Pro-
vincial People’s Government, and organized by the Yunnan In-
ternational Communication Center for South and Southeast
Asia. The gathering included a Beyond Tea Youth Talk, a
“Greetings from Zheng He’s Hometown” intangible cultural
heritage showcase, and the launch of the Sri Lanka World
Heritage Travel Initiative.
Young people from China and Sri Lanka came together
to experience “Yunnan: a many-splendored life.” Over mu-
sic, tea, and shared stories, they exchanged perspectives
and recounted warm accounts of the bond across moun-
tains and sea between Yunnan and Sri Lanka, growing the
shared understanding and energy that support friendship
between the two countries.
